This is the last week of school! We will be working on our class memory book, talking about all the fun things we have done, and we will have our graduation ceremony.

It is such a bitter sweet time for me. I am so proud of all the kiddos and what they have accomplished and am excited to see them move on to their next adventure! I will miss being with them everyday but they can come by and visit anytime. I will be just down the hall from 1st grade ðŸ˜Š.

If you signed up to bring something for graduation, please drop that off at school by Tuesday morning so we can run to the store if we need to before graduation.

Our Very Merry Unbirthday Party will be Wednesday. We will be celebrating all the summer birthdays. If your child has a summer birthday or a birthday over a holiday and did not get to celebrate it in class, this is their day! We will be having a Popsicle Party. Feel free to send in a treat or goodie bag if your child will be celebrating their birthday.

Field day is Thursday from 9:10 - 10:45. We will be outside playing different games. The weather is looking to be kinda cool so make sure to send a sweatshirt and appropriate clothing for the day. (There will be a couple of water games but the kids do not have to participate in that if they do not want to.) If you would like to volunteer to help, please contact Ms. Cruise (mcruise@tpaak.org).

We have our last day of school on Friday, May 25th. We will be having a Respect Assembly at 8:30, play a few games in class and do some classroom awards, and have lunch. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly!
It is also an early dismissal day so school will get out at 12:30!!!

Thank you to all those who helped with the field trip! We had wonderful weather and lots of fun! This week should be pretty calm and easy before the crazy of next week! We plan on spending extra time at recess and just plain having fun!

We will be talking about all the fun things we have done and all the friendships we have made. We will also be talking about what awaits us next year. We have a very dynamic class this year with some friends getting to do an extra year in kindergarten either at TPAAK or another school and some friends going to 1st grade at TPAAK or 1st grade at another school. We will be celebrating our accomplishments this year!
Next week we have an eventful week with something  big happening every day!
The last week is also free dress everyday!

The focus book for this week is I Knew You Could by Craig Dorfman.

15 school days left! Yikes!

Our Field Trip is this Friday, May 11th, 8:30-11:30. We are going to Lee Martinez Farm. Kids are encouraged to wear jeans/heavy pants, their TPAAK or class shirts, and close toe shoes. We will be eating our morning snack at the farm but will be back to school in time for lunch. Each student will need to bring their labeled car/booster seat (can be put on top of their cubbies). Don’t forget water bottles!

If you have not already signed the permission form and paid the entrance fee, please take a moment to do that now.

The focus book for this week is How I Became A Pirate by Melinda Long
