THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

We will be celebrating summer birthdays, playing outside, and

having lots of fun!!!

It is free dress from here on out. Kids can wear pretty much anything they want, as long as modesty standards are upheld. 

Please make sure your child has a water bottle every day as we will be outside a lot. Keep an eye out for special things being sent home.

May 16th - 20th

Well, we are down to the last full week of kindergarten.... Can you believe it!?!

There are lots of fun activities to fit into just 7 1/2 days. This week we are just going to be focusing on our classroom and our friends. We will be working on our our classroom yearbook and talking about the school year.

Friday is Kindergarten Graduation. Please be here around 5pm and drop your child off in the classroom. Graduation will start at 5:15 pm in the cafeteria. 

We will be having light refreshments after the ceremony while everyone chats together.  We need donations of cookies/munchies & juice boxes. Please let me know if you would be willing to bring something to share.

We will be walking to the park next Monday for our summer birthday party. We will be there from 9:00 - 10:30 and have a cupcake and popsicle. 

Field Day is next Tuesday, the 24th, from 12:30 - 3:00. We need to have a couple parent volunteers to help monitor an activity. If you are able to come help, please let me know. Parents are more than welcome to come participate in our Field Day activities. Please make sure your child comes that day with sunscreen on, a bathing suit, and towel. We will have several water activities. 

The last day of school is Wednesday, May 25th. We have an early release at 12:30pm.

May 9th - 13th

We finished most of our end of year assessments!!! YAY!!  We just need to finish our DIBELS (phonics) and we will be done. I am so impressed by and proud of our kindergarten class! The kids have worked hard and grown so much.

 Summer Birthday Party

 We will be celebrating all summer birthdays on Monday, May 23rd. We will be walking to Golden Meadows Park (right up the street next to Cruze Elementary) for the morning. I have special cupcakes ordered... but would love to have popsicles donated! Please make sure your child is wearing sunscreen that morning before they come to school. 

Field Day

We will have field day on Tuesday, May 24th. We get to play outside after lunch for a couple of hours. Final details are being made this week... I will let you know more specifics soon. Parents are welcome to attend and help.

It’s hard to believe that there are only 31/2 weeks of school left… 18 days!!!

This week we will be taking our end of year assessments so please make sure your child gets plenty of rest and eats a healthy breakfast before school.

This Tuesday is our stage performance! 

MARSUPIAL SUE

All students should be in the classroom at 5pm so that we can line up and get ready for the play. We will start the performance at 5:15pm.

April 11th - 15th

This week is another fun, busy week.

On Tuesday, Adalyn’s Dad will speak to the kids about life in Australia and share with us some of the things he learned while living there. 

On Thursday afternoon, Krish’s mom (and her Banking coworkers) will speak to us about the importance of smart saving and spending. 

On Friday we have our field trip to Lee Martinez Farm…. DRIVERS NEEDED!!!  We only have 2 drivers so far. In order to take the fieldtrip, we need to have more parent volunteer drivers. Please let me know if you are able to drive. 

Our kindergarten performance is next Tuesday, April 19th. The play will begin at 5:15pm. Please have your student dropped off in the classroom around 5pm to get ready for the performance. If your child is a kangaroo or platypus, please have them wear brown or khaki colored clothes. If your child is a koala or wallaby, please have them wear gray clothes. We will be making all other costume needs. 

We have been practicing the song in class and it would be beneficial for them to practice singing the song at home as well. You can hear the book/song online here:

Students can wear their favorite outfit. Please make sure all order forms are turned in by Tuesday morning.
