Thank you for a fun Paragon Night! The kids did a great job with their dance and song. The kids took responsibility for their presentation from voting on what to wear and how the dance should be set up.

The Valentine’s Day celebration will be the afternoon of the 12th. A sign up sheet is outside the classroom. If you are able to donate time or supplies, we would love your help!

Also, please remind your child to bring appropriate outdoor gear. The weather this week looks to be a bit chilly and snowy. If we do have a snow day, it will be announced on the school website and all the news channels.

REMINDER: There is no school this Friday, February 5th.

Lots of things are happening in the world of kindergarten. The kids really enjoyed 100's day! On top of wearing our 100's capes, we made hats with 100 stickers on them, necklaces with 100 fruit loops on them, and we stacked 100 cups!

Tuesday is paragon night. We will be having a Renaissance Ball in our classroom starting at 5:35. The kids voted and decided that they would prefer to wear their own fancy clothes or costumes instead of making royal capes. We did make crowns and masquerade masks to go along with our outfits from home. They can wear any prince, princess, jester, or knight costume they may have. They may also wear any fancy/dressy clothes they may have. (Anything they feel is "royal"). We will be presenting a dance and singing for you.

We will be having a Valentine's Day party on Friday, February 12th, from 2:50 - 3:30. I will have a volunteer sign up outside the classroom door. We will need a party coordinator and volunteers to help with in class duties as well as donate supplies.

We have 19 kids in class. Names for Valentine Cards are:

Annie, Alie, Josh, Levi, River, Juliyana, McKenzie, Dulaney, Harrison, Natalie, Neo, Jenna, Krish, Jaden, Brynnley, Adalyn, Brady, Cameron, and Zack.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for all your help!

This week we are celebrating 100 days in school! The kids are so excited... they keep saying they will be "100 days smarter".

One activity we will have on Friday is wearing a 100's cape. Each kiddo should make a cape and with 100 things attached to it. The capes are super easy to make!!! You can use an old towel, sheet, pillow case, big tshirt, table cloth, or scrap fabric. I have even used the cheap plastic disposable table protectors before. I told the kids that they were responsible for counting out 100 of something to glue to their cape.

Things that work well:
stickers, google eyes, pom poms, string, feathers, foam pieces, beans, noodles, etc.

A New Semester

Sunday, January 10, 2016 No comments
Welcome back from break! I had a fantastic time hanging out with my family and spending lots of time relaxing. I hope you enjoyed your time and were able to enjoy your family as well.

We are ready to kick off a new semester and do some really fun things of the next few months. I reminded the kids this week that they are closer to being a first grader than they are to the start of kindergarten! Wow, how time flies! I am so proud of all the things we have already accomplished as a class and each of the kids individually.

We are very low on glue sticks... if you are able to bring some in, that would be much appreciated. Believe it our not, the kids go through them like crazy. (I am hoping that most of it has ended up on their projects, haha!)
