We had such a fun week and had an exciting visitor! The Tooth Fairy came to talk about the importance of brushing your teeth and gave all the students new toothbrushes, yay!

The respect assembly is this Friday – it is also jeans day!

We will be taking orders for our kindergarten t shirts through the end of the month. Order forms went home in folders last week.... if you need another one, just let me know.

I have started taking the kids to the library on Wednesdays. We would love to start having parent read a louds during that time. If you are able and would like to come read to the class, please sign up!

The focus book for this week is Moon by Melanie Mitchell with our comparative text

We all survived last week! Thank you to all those who donated and helped with our valentine party! The class had a wonderful time💗.

This week we will be learning about dental health. We will learn about loose teeth, parts of a tooth, and dental hygiene. We will also learn how to take care of and brush our teeth.

Parent/Teacher conferences will continue through the week. I have opened additional times for conferences. If you did not get an opportunity to come in and would like to do so, please sign up!

Thank you so much to all the parents who helped make our field trip to the museum successful! We could not have done it with out you!

This week is a big week! Many things have fallen into the same week. We have 100’s day, valentines day, and conferences all this week! Since we have lots of fun things I thought it would be fun to also throw in FREE DRESS WEEK for our class! YAY! (Feel free to dress festively for our valentine party!)

We will celebrate 100's day on Tuesday with counting to 100, doing 100 exercises, making a snack mix with 100 pieces, and deciding what we will be doing when we are 100 years old!

We will celebrate Valentine's day on Thursday with a yogurt parfait breakfast bar! We will also design our valentine bag and pass out valentines to all our kindergarten friends.

We will also be making heart shaped crystals this week in science. This is a super fun activity for the kiddos. You will be seeing these come home on Thursday! Your child will love to tell you all about it.

This week is all about friendships. We will be reading and discussing Roses
Are Pink, Your Feet Really Stink by Diane DeGroat . We will talk about finding solutions to problems. We will work on writing valentines this week.

Our focus this week is all about being wise and brave. There are times when we

might be afraid of something but then realize that if we are wise, we can
overcome that fear. Our book this week is The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson. This
story tells the tale of a wise mouse that should be afraid of predators in the
woods, but he uses his wisdom and cleverness to trick them. The mouse is
surprised when his cleverness almost backfires! Throughout the week we will be
discussing ways in which we can be wise and brave!

The Gruffalo has been made into a short film that can be found on Amazon Prime.
